Join us on March 29th & 30th, 2024, for an unforgettable 2-day expedition as we hike from Chogoria Gate to our lakeside campsite. Along the way, we’ll take a detour to the stunning Nithi Falls, immersing ourselves in the beauty of Mt. Kenya’s pristine environment.

Upon arrival at Lake Ellis, enjoy a well-deserved break with hot beverages and snacks as you take in the serene surroundings. As the evening sets in, our professional mountain chefs will prepare a hearty dinner, followed by a cozy bonfire, fun games, and lively conversations by the lake.

For fishing enthusiasts, bring your fishing line! Catch and release fishing is allowed, so you can enjoy the thrill of the sport while respecting nature.

      DAY 1: NAIROBI – CHOGORIA GATE – LAKE ELLIS

      • 4:45 a.m. – Boarding begins at Nairobi CBD, next to International House
      • 5:00 a.m. – Departure for Chogoria Gate
      • 9:00 a.m. – Arrival at Chogoria Gate (Registration)
      • 10:00 a.m. – Final preparations at Chogoria Gate
      • 10:30 a.m. – Hike begins via Nithi Falls
      • 3:00 p.m. – Arrival at Lake Ellis, campsite setup
      • Evening: Relaxation, snacks, bonfire, fun activities, and dinner

      DAY 2: LAKE ELLIS – CHOGORIA GATE – NAIROBI

      • 6:00 a.m. – Wake-up call
      • 7:00 a.m. – Breakfast
      • 10:00 a.m. – Depart from Lake Ellis back to Chogoria Gate
      • 2:30 p.m. – Departure for Nairobi
