RURIMERIA MOORLAND HIKE
fromRURIMERIA MOORLAND HIKE
Rurimeria is the 3rd highest peak in Aberdares standing at an Elevation of 3860MASL. It is located at Geta Shopping center, where the trail begins. It has a series of four ridges, the first being the steepest and the hardest as you gain altitude (first false summit). At the top of the first peak(1st pic), the view of the second peak hits you and until you are done with the third peak, the tough trail will keep disappointing you with false summits. There is hope once you get to the moorland when you can see the real summit, which rejuvenates you to complete the 7.0km ascent..
Overall, the Rurimeria Hill hike is a fantastic adventure for those looking to explore the less-trodden paths of Kenya and experience the natural beauty of the Aberdare Ranges.
