What to Wear
For this demanding high‑altitude trek, dress in layered, functional clothing that adapts to rapid weather changes. Begin with thermal inner wear for warmth, then add a fleece or warm jacket for insulation. A rain jacket or poncho is essential for protection against sudden showers. On the lower body, wear quick‑dry hiking trousers with thermal tights inside to stay warm yet flexible throughout the long trek.

Carry a light jacket or windbreaker for daytime comfort, and don’t forget quality hiking socks to keep your feet dry. Protect yourself with a beanie or hat, gloves or a balaclava, plus a cap or hat for sun protection. Sturdy hiking boots or trail runners with good grip are a must for the rocky terrain, with gaiters as an optional extra for added protection.

To guard against the sun, pack sunglasses and sunscreen, and keep a small daypack for essentials.
What to Carry
• National ID/Passport
• Backpack (20–30L)
• Reusable water bottle or hydration pack
• 2–3 litres of water
• Packed lunch & energy snacks (nuts, fruits, energy bars)
• Headlamp/torch
• Trekking pole (optional)
• Personal medication
• Sunscreen & lip balm
• Sunglasses
• Basic first aid kit
• Change of clothes after the Hike

Preparation Guidelines

• Get moving with active cardio exercises like aerobics, walking, running, cycling, and swimming during the week leading up to the event.
• Designate the day before the hike for some well-deserved rest—give your body a break from intense exercises.
• Amp up your hydration game at least two days before hitting the trail.
• Make sure to prioritize a good night's sleep before the hike.
• Boost your energy reserves by upping your carbohydrate intake two days prior. If you're into intermittent fasting or on a diet, take a one-day break around the hike.
• Trim those toenails—your feet will thank you later!
• Fuel up with a hearty breakfast at least three hours before the event. This ensures your body has time to digest, providing the energy you need without making your stomach feel too full.
• Take a pre-hike bathroom break at home to minimize pit stops during your journey.
• Prepare your mindset for self-conquest. Remember, hiking is 90% mental, 10% physical prep. Once you conquer your mind, the rest is a breeze. You've got this!
