Join the Great Ascent Journey – Mt. Kenya Cohort from 2nd to 5th April 2026 via the Sirimon Route. This guided expedition is designed to help adventurers summit Mt. Kenya while building endurance, altitude adaptability, and mental resilience.
Through the Ascent Series prep hikes, participants progressively train on challenging trails across Kenya, ensuring they are fully prepared for the climb. The Crater Challenge Longonot marks the start of real intensity. The steep ascent and 14KM crater loop test stamina, breathing, and focus. Expect heat, dust, and loose chippings. Its rugged gradients make Longonot one of the best mid-level endurance builders.
Kipipiri, rising above 3,300M, is a gateway to high-altitude hiking. The 18KM route moves through forest, bamboo, and moorland, building altitude tolerance and resilience. Weather is unpredictable, so rain gear is key. A scenic test for tougher alpine terrain
The Endurance Test A steep, rocky trail into the heart of the Aberdares, Table Mountain tests your stamina, elevation control, and footwork. Though only 13km, it’s one of the toughest hikes, with sharp elevation gain and unpredictable weather. Perfect for summit readiness.

The Sirimon Route offers one of the most scenic and gradual approaches to Mount Kenya, guiding hikers through lush forests, expansive moorlands, and alpine landscapes before reaching Point Lenana at 4,985 meters. This trek is designed as the final challenge under Cushy Adventures’ Great Ascent Program, preparing hikers for the ultimate summit experience.
